Branded greaseproof paper for Paddington-themed menu
Challenge
In collaboration with Studio Canal, Marston’s orchestrated a promotion spanning 250 locations, showcasing an enchanting Paddington-themed menu designed for their younger guests. The menu offered options like a build-your-own marmalade sandwich, sticky marmalade chicken wings, crispy chicken dippers, a Picnic Platter, and themed sweet treats.
To complement the menu, children were gifted a Paddington in Peru sticker book and had the opportunity to win official merchandise bundles as well as vouchers for free children’s meals.
Marston’s enlisted Birch to assist in producing branded greaseproof paper to be used with each dish from the Paddington-themed menu.
Solution
Following the initial consultation, our team promptly took action, starting with the collation and approval of artwork. Although led by the Marston’s marketing department, the food team played a crucial role in developing the menu and specifications. We subsequently integrated the menu specs into staff training manuals and distributed them across all participating sites ensuring consistency across the brand.
Our objective is to simplify the myriad of tasks for the marketing & food team-by briefing, listening, asking pertinent questions, and offering guidance throughout the process. Once these steps were completed, we hit the ‘button’ and facilitated the production of thousands of greaseproof paper sheets in preparation for the promotion’s debut.
