DPD’s London Docklands Regional Distribution Centre stands as their flagship all-electric site, representing a major step in sustainable logistics.
The site demanded a comprehensive branding and signage solution that would deliver impact, clarity and durability across a wide variety of areas—from operational zones to visitor-facing spaces—while aligning tightly with DPD’s brand standards developed from over a decade of partnership. The project also included a distinctive security hut requiring bespoke branding treatment.
Solution
Our long-term experience working with DPD gave us valuable insight into their brand identity and operational needs. We conducted targeted site visits focused on precise measurement, understanding site flow and identifying optimal branding locations that would maximise visibility and effectiveness without disrupting the ongoing construction of the RDC.
The materials and installations included:
Silicone-edged tension fabric graphics delivering vibrant, easy-to-update wall branding throughout the facility
Sub-surface reverse printed branded counter units, chosen for their hard-wearing, robust finish in busy contact areas
Aluminium composite (Dibond) internal and external signage, designed to withstand the demands of an active logistics environment
A fully branded security hut, with coated PVC banners supplied on a white aluminium frame (RAL9016), covering multiple sides with exact dimensions to fit the structure, plus printed conformable vinyl stickers and additional backing stickers where required. This was expertly installed on site to ensure durability and a seamless finish
Health & safety signage crafted to strict brand guidelines for clear, immediate comprehension
Throughout the project, every element was proofed thoroughly to ensure colour accuracy and brand consistency. The on-site installation was carefully coordinated to avoid disruption to DPD’s operations, with a dedicated team managing the full process from design to delivery.
The Docklands RDC now proudly showcases DPD’s commitment to innovation and sustainability. The branding creates an engaging, professional environment that motivates staff and impresses visitors alike. The security hut, in particular, stands out as a branded feature that blends functionality with strong visual identity.
