Gold Moss are an independent home fragrance company based in the Scottish Highlands, offering a range of hand poured soy wax candles and reed diffusers.
Limited resource is part and parcel of running a small business, so Edyta, the founder of Gold Moss, needed a flexible and versatile team who could help with her various challenges.
The reed diffusers were a new addition to Gold Moss’s product listings, so working to a tight budget, Edyta began the hunt for a suitable print partner to help produce a premium packaging solution for the diffuser range.
Sustainable practices are high on Gold Moss’s agenda and this project totally aligned with our sustainable ethos so our team were keen to start the task of bringing their new packaging to life. The box fit the bill; it’s made from 100% PEFC, carbon capture paper which promotes sustainable forest management.
The higher the print volume the more cost effective, and because this project required relatively low volumes, our team efficiently rose to the challenge of producing a print specification that was on brief and in budget.
In the initial proposal gold foil was going to be an option, however with a tight budget it was decided against this. Although foil would have added a lovely dimension to the packaging, the end product doesn’t’ look any less for it.
The great thing about working on a variety of packaging projects means we can reuse artwork templates, and we happened to have box templates that suited Gold Moss’s requirement perfectly. We had an existing template that suited the outer packaging as well as the inner corrugated fitment, designed to hold the diffuser reeds in place.
These existing templates allowed us to save on cutting forme costs, and enable the prompt production of packaging samples, which all contribute towards keeping within a tight budget.
Our Digital Print Technician produced a digital sample that was an ideal representation of the finished product, giving Edyta peace of mind ahead of the full print run.
We were able to match the digital sample to the specific green pantone of their brand colours to ensure we had complete brand consistency across the full Gold Moss product range.
Right from the get-go Edyta needed 100% reassurance that her packaging project was in safe hands.
Our long-standing experience working with small, independent brands gave this project the leverage it needed to exceed expectations and deliver a meticulous packaging solution for this unique home fragrance brand.
” The boxes are beautiful, just like I imagined them to be! Thank you!!”
